Guava BBQ sauce
A sweet coating to any meat
It might be difficult to imagine the fiery grills of summer BBQs, but trust me, they’re coming and nothing makes the most of favorite grilled meat like the perfect BBQ sauce.
That’s you’ve got to try this Spicy Guava BBQ Sauce we’ve adapted from this The Noshery recipe!
Ingredients:
1 jar (8oz.) Jackie’s Guava Jam
1 tablespoon Cocoa Powder
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
4 Cloves Garlic (minced)
¼ cup Onion (diced)
1 Lime (juiced)
¼ cup Water
3 tablespoons ketchup
½ teaspoons Cumin
½ teaspoons Smoked Paprika
¼ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
Salt and Pepper to taste
In a pot, heat oil over medium heat and saute the onion and garlic until translucent. Add guava jam, water and lime juice. Stir constantly to keep from scorching until well combined.
Add remaining ingredients and cook until smooth (about 6-8 minutes), making sure to stir constantly. Be careful not to let the sauce boil over.
This sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a month, but trust us when we say that it won’t last that long!
We love to see what you make with your jam!
