Homemade English Muffin Recipe
Who loves breakfast breads?
We definitely do!
And while all pastries and breads are pretty much equally delicious, a crispy, chewy english muffin definitely holds a special place in our hearts.
That’s why we’re totally in love with this english muffin recipe from Food52… because you know what’s amazing on english muffins? JAM!
It takes a little time – and a bit of patience – but we think they’re worth it!
Here’s the pretty simple ingredient list:
1 2/3 tablespoons kosher salt
5 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temp)
Nonstick vegetable spray
Cornmeal as needed
2 1/3 tablespoons active dry yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1 2/3 cups buttermilk
4 cups bread flour (more as needed!)
1/4 cup sugar
That’s all it takes to make 2 dozen full size english muffins, so pop on over to Food52, get the full recipe and get started!!
